These covers are for the new 2013 Bible. The covers, including the spines, are stiffened to support your Bible better. As the spines are stiffened, they will initially be curved. As the Bibles have a flat spine and not curved, simply push your Bible into the cover all the way to the back, flattening the stiffened spine-support onto your Bible. At first it may seem a tight fit due to the stiffened spine. Your cover will loosen up nicely after a few uses.
